Bulk liquid transfer in bioprocessing can be a time-consuming, labor-intensive process, and prone to error. Multiple workers must manually time how long a pump is running, and manually log readings from a weigh scale to ensure the correct amount of liquid has been transferred.
The SumoFlo® single-use Coriolis flow meter from Malema automates the data collection by providing real-time flow rate and totalized flow to a control station. Batch totalization feature allows a digital signal to be sent when a pre-determined total dispense has been achieved. SumoFlo® sensors can measure mass flow or volumetric flow and are gamma stable. Various sensor sizes accommodate flow rates up to 100 kg/min or l/min.
